The most common cause of this issue is that the GPS has been turned off by either you or your cell carrier. In order to use CitySourced the application must be able to access your GPS device. CitySourced will only turn your GPS on when you ask to use the app and will shut it off as soon as we no longer need it. We are committed to your privacy as well as your battery life!
If you have turned off your location services CitySourced should prompt you to turn it back on, if it doesn't follow the steps below.
The process for enabling Location services varies from device to device but usually follows the instructions below.
From Applications Drawer
- Click Settings
- Click Locations and Security
- Check both GPS and WiFi Location check boxes
Here is a video detailing the process
If you are still having trouble after enabling these services or these are already enabled please send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org with your Android device make and model as well as your cellphone carrier.
